I wanted a palm thimble that could double as a wrist pin cushion, needle minder and thread cutter, this is the result! With the unstoppable power of magnets it accomplishes all of those tasks while looking adorable - a very important trait indeed!

It can be used in the following ways

• Palm Thimble/Sailors Palm - the centre of the flower is concave with small divots for the needle to sit in. The magnet also helps the needle find the divots.

• Needle Minder - It comes with a standard strong magnet that can be used to attach it to your embroidery or cross stitch and mind your needle.

• Magnetic Wrist Pin Cushion - I include a sewable magnet with all sets. This is so you can sew it to your preferred wrist accoutrement or scrunchie and easily attach the flower for pin storage then detach it to put the pins away.

• Leaf Thread Cutter - The leaf contains a magnet and securely embedded craft blade for easy cutting thread and yarn.

The leaf comes on a necklace with a lobster clasp as standard. If you cannot use this type of closure please tell me your preference between screw closures and magnetic closures using the Contact form before ordering and I will alter the necklace to your specifications.

The name 'Bloom & Sew' is a play on 'Bloom and Grow' from the song Edelweiss from The Sound of Music. I like music and puns!
